Talk:Sandships

Sandships is listed as an expansion of Pyramid Arcade at BGG, which is rare for pyramid games, especially ones that aren't actually an expansion of another game. If we were doing more with the BGG Link property it might matter more. --MCDeMarco (talk) 22:08, 1 May 2024 (UTC)

Hmmm, so is Lava Flows and Zendo Cards. We could ask that it and Lava Flows be changed to be games; most of the pyramid games on bgg are just rulesets. Sandships even has a board! Wrt other game systems, Decktet has no expansions, and Piecepack has 2 actual expansions listed, along with 2 games. Icetoids and the Closest Ghost are listed as games and they were other Holiday Gifts. --Eclectics (talk) 10:59, 2 May 2024 (UTC)

I suppose it's easier to get an "expansion" into BGG than yet another nebulous pyramid game. I did discover that you can get to the games via a boardgame link rather than a boardgameexpansion link, if that would help (and BGG links are chock full of meaningless variations that BGG routes successfully). --MCDeMarco (talk) 16:11, 2 May 2024 (UTC)
